King Kong: A surprising outlier in movie tie-in games

Movie tie-in games are typically regarded as games of the worst quality due to their rushed nature, but for whatever reason King Kong, the 2005 release is an absolutely stunning piece of artistry. Pushing 6th generation consoles to their limit by showcasing incredible graphics and atmosphere, as well as revolutionary survival mechanics and intense gameplay.

This game has been revered in the game development community and even received praise by “God of War” lead director Cory Barlog and Valve president Gabe Newell.
